My 3 Fears!

1. Speaking in front of people. I hate to speak in public, it scares the crap out of me. I dont speak in church and I hate to even say prayers in class. I have really tried to overcome this one though. I am still working on it.

2. Being eaten by a bear! Bears scare me. I think that would be one of the worst ways to go! Yuck!

3. Snakes! I am with Jeni on this one, I really really hate snakes. My brother used to chase me around with garden snakes until I slammed ones head in the sliding door one time and it bit my brother on the hand. He hates snakes too now!

My 3 Goals!

1. Get through the day!

2. Travel when I retire!

3. Write a book someday! (Kinzie and I are working on this, mostly kinzie!)

4. Sorry, I have a 4th one. I want a 1957 Ford Thunderbird convert.

2. Taking Baths! I bath every night, not shower, Justin thinks this is wierd!

3. Shopping! I am a shop a holic!

1. I have really wierd dreams and often scream in my sleep. This really bugs Justin. I could write books about my dreams.

2. I have read almost 200 books in the last year.

3. I secretly wish that I was a bounty hunter or supernatural exterminator!

Back to School!

I CAN'T WAIT FOR BACK TO SCHOOL. I AM COUNTING THE DAYS!

I LOVE THAT COMMERCIAL WHERE THE MOM IS SHOPPING FOR BACK TO SCHOOL STUFF AND SHE IS SINGING AND SMILING AND THE KIDS ARE TRUDGING ALONG BEHIND HER. THAT IS ME. MY LAST ONE GOES TO KINDER THIS YEAR. YEAH! IS THAT BAD OF ME?

80's FLASKBACK!

Okay! This is for the older generation (I guess that's us now)! I just saw Rick Springfield (Yeah, it's him) on a tivo of Oprah yesterday at my mom's.

Is this guy for real? He's gotta be close to 50. WOW!

Flashback! He was on General Hospital in the 80's, sang a few great hits like "Love Somebody" and "Jesse's Girl" (one of my favorites). He actually got on stage on Oprah and I thought "oh yuck" I hate it when old foggies try to sing their old songs and flop terribly. Was I surprised, he actually looked quite hot and did great.

His remastered album of his greatest hits is out. The gomer in me might have to check it out.

Can you believe how great he looks at his age, I want his secret? Probably surgery huh! hmm!

MY NEW FAVORITE!

OKAY SO I AM NOT REALLY A BIG TV WATCHER SO WHEN MY SISTER, LORI, AND MY DAD KEPT TELLING ME TO WATCH THE SERIES "24" I WAS A LITTLE HESITANT.

WELL LET ME TELL YOU WE ARE NOW HOOKED! WE HAVE NOW BORROWED THE FIRST 3 SEASONS FROM MY PARENTS AND HAVE BEEN UP LATE WATCHING AND YOU CAN'T STOP.

I JUST LOVE JACK BAUER AND I THINK HE IS JUST AWESOME. I REALLY COULD NOT PICTURE KIEFFER SUTHERLAND IN THIS ROLE, BUT HE IS SO GOOD.

I UNDERSTAND THAT THE 7TH SEASON STARTS THIS FALL SO I HAVE A LOT TO CATCH UP ON BEFORE THEN. THE ONE DRAWBACK IS THAT YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT EVERY WEEK IF YOU ARE WATCHING DURING THE SEASON OR YOU CAN GET LOST. I LIKE WATCHING IT ALL AT ONCE ON DVD.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER DIE HARDS OUT THERE? CHECK IT OUT IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ANY. I RECOMMEND STARTING ON SEASON 1 FROM THE BEGINNING SO YOU CAN GET THE WHOLE EFFECT.

NEW YOUNG ADULT BOOK!

THE DEMONATA SERIES! BY DARREN SHAN (THE MASTER OF GORE)

Finally! Here is the new book out by Darren Shan "Demon Apocalypse". This is the 6th book in his series. He also wrote the "Cirque De Freak" series which I have not read but I have really enjoyed this one. Now this is not for real young kids it is quite scary and very gory. But Kinzie loves them and so does her cousin. I love all books and read just about everything, but I really like Darren Shan he is very descriptive and has great characters. This book is not for those with a weak stomach. But some great stuff!

Nature!

Our Getaway in the Uintah Mountains!

We spent the 4th of July weekend at our cabin in the Uintahs. What a magnificent and beautiful place nature can be. I look forward to our weekends away. It is the one place that we can go and spend time away as a family with out interruptions. It really puts things into perspective.

The kids all love to fish, catch frogs, catch and release butterflys (they dont want to kill them afterall), ride the four wheelers, play games, roast marshmallows, take hikes, ride horses and bug Grandma all weekend.

I feel so incredibly grateful that God has given us the gift of Nature! What a place of great refueling of your mind and spirit.

TWO OF MY LONG TIME FRIENDS ARE IN THIS PICTURE TANNER AND RYAN (WILD AND CRAZY GUYS). I REALLY THINK THE BOW ON TANNERS COLLAR REALLY GIVES HIM THE EXTRA TOUCH.
